Karen Meister
Training Facilitator
Karen A. Meister, Training Facilitator at the Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute, is a seasoned professional with a rich background in crafting and delivering dynamic and impactful training programs aimed at enhancing leadership and professional development. She has had experience building training programs for both internal and external audiences. She believes that learners should see relevance and practicality in the training they participate in and should be given the opportunity to be active learners in the process.
Karen has a passion for public speaking, recently winning awards for two presentations, and has been an invited speaker at events across the country. Just prior to joining the Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute, Karen served as a Senior Academic Advisor at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she guided students through their academic and career paths while developing and implementing student success programming. She also served as the Chair of the University Academic Advising Board and played an important role in the development of advisors across campus. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a M.S. in Genetic Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh, and a M.S. in Instructional and Performance Technology from Boise State University.
