FAQs and Policies
Participants are expected to attend the entire institute. Sporadic attendance adversely affects small-group work and group dynamics. At the same time, we know you are busy, and commitments and emergencies pop up. We would be glad to discuss these with you. As a guide, those who miss more than 80% of any program will not graduate. We appreciate the commitment that you are making to professional development and to your colleagues.
Business casual is the most prominent attire during the day, but there are no specific requirements. Dressing in layers is advisable in any program space. The last day of the program for graduation is the only one where more formal (business) attire is recommended.
Speakers and participants appreciate you attending to business during scheduled breaks. Phones and electronics are disruptive, and we ask that they be away during class. Consider your absence from the office a good opportunity to give your staff decision-making and operational authority as appropriate. You will have ample time to check in daily during breaks and lunch.
Yes. If needed, please make your hotel reservations by the information shared in your acceptance letter. All program hotel room blocks have been reserved under the state per diem rate for that specific program. Please use the link shared to book your stay.
